SpeakOver Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

These terms are an agreement between you and METKO LABS BILISIM ITHALAT VE IHRACAT TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI ("we", "us"), Akıncılar Mah. Kahramanlar Sk. No:10/308, 35750 Ödemiş, İzmir, Türkiye, about the SpeakOver app for Mac and Windows ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. The license

  1. Free version. You may use the app without a license. In the free version each session stops after 5 minutes, and recordings and streams show a "Made with SpeakOver" watermark.
  2. Paid license (SpeakOver Pro). A yearly subscription bought through Lemon Squeezy gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app without those limits, for personal and commercial streaming and recording, on the number of Macs your plan allows, for as long as the license is valid (for a subscription: while it's paid).
  3. You may move a license to another computer by releasing it in the app first.
  4. The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights we don't expressly grant you.

2. Buying, renewals and refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record; its terms apply to the payment. SpeakOver Pro is a yearly subscription that renews automatically each year until you cancel; the price is shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email; Pro then stays active until the end of the paid year. Refunds: a full refund within 14 days of the first purchase or a renewal, on request — see the Refund Policy. This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer protection law.

3. Your API keys and third-party services

  1. The app works with AI services you connect with your own accounts and API keys (such as Deepgram, OpenRouter, Anthropic and ElevenLabs) and with streaming platforms (such as YouTube, Twitch and Kick).
  2. You pay those services directly for what you use. Their prices can change; we don't control or refund them.
  3. You must follow their terms and policies. We aren't responsible for their availability, changes, output or how they handle data.
  4. Keep your keys secret. The app stores them in your computer's secure storage (Keychain on Mac, Credential Manager on Windows) and sends each only to its own service.

4. AI output and your responsibility

  1. Translations, speech-to-text and voices are produced automatically by AI and can be wrong, incomplete, mistimed or inappropriate. Check what matters before relying on it.
  2. You are responsible for everything you record, stream and publish with the app, including the AI voice and the translation.
  3. Tell your audience the voice is AI. Streaming platforms require or expect creators to disclose realistic AI-made or altered content (for example YouTube's "Altered content" setting). You are responsible for following each platform's rules.

5. Voice cloning: only your own voice

If you use a cloned voice (through your own ElevenLabs account), it must be your own voice, or a voice you have the person's clear, written permission to use. You may not use the app to imitate or impersonate anyone, to mislead viewers about who is speaking, or to make a person appear to say things they didn't say. The app asks you to confirm this before using a cloned voice.

You may not use the app to:

7. Restrictions

Except where the law allows it, you may not copy (other than for normal installation and backup), modify, reverse engineer, decompile, rent, resell or redistribute the app, or share license keys.

8. Your content

You own your content: your voice, recordings, streams and what you say. We don't receive it and claim no rights to it. See the Privacy Policy.

9. Updates and changes

We may update the app and these terms. If we change the terms in an important way we'll tell you in the app or by email; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.

10. Ending the license

Your license ends if you break these terms or, for a subscription, when it isn't renewed. You can stop using the app at any time. Sections 4–8 and 11–13 continue after the license ends.

11. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, account suspensions or strikes on streaming platforms, or costs charged by third-party services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of İzmir, Türkiye have jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law in your country gives you other rights.
